Dear Friends:

I want to take this opportunity to tell you how much your support means to me. Many of you have been there for me since I first ran for Congress and I am truly grateful for your continued support.

It is an incredible honor for me to represent not only the most beautiful district in the country, but the most wonderful people as well, people who share the values of hard work, honesty, integrity and love of country. You are truly an inspiration to me.

We all know that there are serious challenges facing our Nation and the next Congress. As your voice in the U.S. House of Representatives I will continue to fight for the things that are important to all of us here in Colorado and across this nation.

I will continue to fight to protect the quality of our water and to keep it in its basin of origin.  I will work to reduce our reliance on foreign oil by promoting renewable and alternative sources of energy. I will fight to provide healthcare for all Americans and will continue my commitment to veterans by giving them the best medical treatment our nation has to offer. And I will continue to stand strong and promote reforms to a broken financial system which has left our economy in such a fragile state.

I also look forward to working with our new President, Barack Obama, as we move forward to address the issues of the day.

As we enter into the 111th Congress, it is a privilege to represent the Third Congressional District.  We have a lot to accomplish in the coming years and I am looking forward to the challenge. Thank you for placing your trust in me. It is a trust that I will continue to honor with hard work and commitment to you, my friends, family and supporters in the Third Congressional District.
